Scouting Out The Land

She runs, only looking back as the call is let out. She thought she'd get a bit further than expected before they notice, but such was the keen eye of the Lizard Men.

"Damn... Well, if it's a fight they want then it's a fight they'll get."

She said to herself while coming to a halting slide in the moonlight of the silver grass and prepared herself with a seemingly unyielding stance. What Rai did from there was dependent on how the Lizardmen responded.

The Lizardman tilt its head to the right to tell the partner to go around on her right side. The first one walks up with its shield up high and sword ready while being on the defensive as it approaches. The second Lizardman kept it spear arching upward towards Rai, going in a circular motion for a brief second. The two kept their postures at each other before the first one charge at her with a 'Combination' Slash attack, slashing at her rapidly three times to slice her up greatly.

As one of the Lizardman circles around, Rai watches it before then other is can not also be seen. At that point she looks back and forth between them while remaining on edge. It was when the one approached that she had to take action.

She was startled at its direct slashing and threw her free arm up in defense to take on such slashes that would damage her greatly. She would retaliate with a slash of her own to its arm without the shield and continue on to rush it while attempting to thrust the dagger into it.

Rai's attempt to defend herself while retaliating to counter was overwhelmed by the might of the Lizardman, reducing as much damage as possible by wielding her arm as a shield. Unfortunately, using her bare skin only made matters worse by the rapid chains of the slashes cutting through her swiftly as the final slash struck the 'Bleed' effect. The total damage bypass her total HP and defense to reduce the damage all together, forcing her to lose consciousness from the attack and fall unto death's grasp by the opponent. The Lizardmen went back into their patrol session and left her deceased body on the slivergrass. The body begins to deteriorate from the world and turns into a spiritual orb of her remains.

The spiritual angel of life goes over to the orb and gently grasp on it, teleporting both of them to the spirit realm where the fallen awaits to be revived by her breath. She speaks out to Rai while shes in the spiritual orb form, but shows an full image hologram of her body.

"Protector of Lux Eterna. You have fallen in battle by the enemies of Lux Eterna. Fear not, however, as death is a common factor for any brave warrior such as yourself."

It looked as though the fallen hunter had much more to learn in her time here as she had fallen prey to the enemy. An enemy that she had severely underestimated. But hey, there was always something to learn with each new experience. With her spirit whisked away and awaiting to be revived, Rai would look around the area before turning to the angel speaking to her.

"I see... So who, or what, are you suppose to be?"

Normally she would have been rather angry in a situation such as this, but it would seem that her curiosity overtook the emotion. Truly an interesting sight to see.

The angel fully appears herself once Rai ask who or what she suppose to be. Granted, the image could have been anything that death reveals to the players upon their last breath. Instead, one of the angels of LEO appears right in front of Rai's hollow spirit. Her appearance shows a double-sided look of both light and dark. One side is glorified with a delicate white that represents the ascended angel while the other side is burdened with the torment of darkness within a fallen angel. Her eyes were closed and shut tight for the reason upon blindness until judgment has been passed. She speaks out to Rai once more

"Do not be afraid, young protector. I am Asnitas, the Guardian Angel of Life and Death. I guide the fallen travelers back into the path of their journeys once more. For this moment, I can revive your fallen corpse and return you back to your home point. Do you wish to be resurrected?"

The sight of the angel before her amazes Rai with its intricate beauty. She honestly didn't know what to say about it. All she could do was watch as it spoke to her, the only words able to be said were ones in compliance with the question asked.

"Yes, I would like to be resurrected..."

Asnitas nods from hearing her answer as she reach her hands out towards Rai, emitting a bright light into Rai's heart. The light illuminates a warm feeling inside of her which stimulated her entire body and soul back to one, restoring herself back to normal. The sensation greatly replenished her health back to full and surrounds a glowing beam of light down upon her. She speaks to Rai with a heed of advice and warning for her adventures in the near future.

"Be aware, young protector, that whenever you fall in battle and choose to resurrect back to your home point you risk losing all of your progress within your experience. Take caution upon your actions and be wise upon yourself. May your path be a safe journey as the Angels watch over you."

The beam of light engulfs her into the teleportation process, transferring her from the spiritual realm of the fallen back to the fountain home point at the Kingdom of Raizen.

After bursting out of the Western Gates of Raizen Rai could be seen dashing across the Silver Plateau with the flame of revenge blazing withing her soul. She looked tirelessly for her opponents, hoping to find them somewhere around where she was last seen. Those vile Lizardmen would surely pay for what they had done to her if she had anything to say about it.

Rai's thirst for revenge against the Lizardmen that defeated her burns fiercely within the Silvergrass Plateau, hunting down the targets throughout the location where she was defeated. However, the foes are long past gone from the original spot before. Instead, she would only be greeted by a Warhog wandering about and a harpy resting it wings from flying around within the night. The trees continue to glow brightly from the Scorch Bugs to illuminate the nightly scene.

How infuriating it was to see that the Lizardmen were no longer there to face judgement for what they had done. Though, however enraging it may have been, it was of no surprise. She knew there was a slim chance that she’d find them here again, but still… Not even a trace as to where to find them was left. Now the only thing she could do was stand there infuriated while trying to get that damn girls screaming voice out of her head. What was she screaming about anyway? It wasn't like this was real…

Still, even if it wasn't real, it was something that she couldn't help but get angry about and the only way to vent was to kill. So, without even taking notice of the events transpiring behind her, she would rush the boar head on in attempts to slash it down with her dagger.

Rai's burning sensation to kill greatly slashed the boar instantly to death, making it squeal loudly in terror before fainting to its demise. The Warhog fades away into the world in the value of life while dropping the necessary items and rewards for Rai.

A fell slash that has slain the boar gave Rai quite the thrill, subsiding her anger but replacing it with pure blood lust. With this in mind she would set her sights on the resting harpy. With it would accompany a menacing smile as the the standard tune and show of a level up had occurred. She quickly opened up her menu and assigned the points before closing it and dashing over to her next target. Nothing was said as she'd let her dagger do the talking with another slash attempt. Hopefully it would put up more of a fight.

The Lesser Harpy continued to relax for a little while longer until it noticed Rai dashing towards her with a killer instinct within her eyes. She swiftly flew back to avoid the incoming slash and feared for her life. She caws out a few times at her before yelling out at Rai.

"Hey, what's the big idea? Go pick on someone your own size!"

She began to flap her wings in rapid speeds, creating a powerful gust towards Rai to sweep her off her feet and damaging her greatly with the might of Aero magic.

This one can talk...?

It was a bit of a shocker as Rai had been hit and pushed knocked back from the kicked up gust. She hadn't known the monsters to talk, but it still did not deter her in her cause. The harpies words would however direct her attention elsewhere. With her shocked expression returning back to what it once was she would reply.

"You know what? You do look a little weak to me. There has to be a more powerful opponent around her somewhere. Maybe I'll go pay those wolves everyone has been talking about a visit. Don't worry though, I'll be back to toy with you soon."

She ended with a smile before proceeding to dash south in hopes of venturing into the wooded area where the wolves dwell. It was about time to take on some risks in this game anyway.

"The bloody hell do you mean weak? I'll show you who's a pushover, you damn human!"

Insulted by Rai's words towards her, the harpy began chase after her with much aggression to tear the cocky warrior limb from limb. She dives down to penetrate and slash at her with her razor sharp talon claws, aiming to take her down within the chase. In the meantime, as Rai runs and the harpy chases after, there would be a wandering Lizardman slashing away against a Warhog for training purposes. The lizard takes down the beast and is pumped up for anything. It then noticed Rai coming towards it and hisses loudly to challenge her.

"So, you really wanna do this, huh?"

Just what she wanted to see from an opponent. It was one thing to slay an unwillingly target, but when they fight back it makes the thrill all that much more fun. Almost immediately after she finished speaking, Rai would stop abruptly and turn around to slash across the Harpy as its claws dug themselves in her. The pain was extravagantly thrilling. It was as if she gained pleasure from such punishment. She didn't even notice the Lizardman directly in front of her until it let out the challenging hiss.

Is that... what I think it is...?

As the harpy plants it sharp claws into Rai, the pain wouldn't be all that intense as many would expect. Instead, it was just a minor scratch to her due to the high resistance she has against it. The slash that she did made the harpy squawk after she was cut in half, dropping in two and fades away into the world. Like she said, a weak little challenge to her. The Lizardman, however, was more of a formidable foe for Rai's adrenaline rush. The creature clash its sword and shield together, pumped up and ready to take on the challenging foe as it hisses once more.

"I told you that was an unwise move... Now, where is that scaly little monster?"

She said, standing up to face the type of monster that had once defeated her as she also gathered the drops. True it was a pity that she had to slay such a weak opponent though it wasn't her fault it decided to pursue her. That was of no concern now as her new target was right in front of her and after all this searching too. She'd waste no time in excepting its challenge and would start things off by performing her magic attack Bright Burst using her signature hand motion towards her enemy.

The Lizardman initiated a combat roll towards her to avoid the 'Bright Burst' attack. The attack crashed into a tree and knocked it down in half. In the meantime, the creature was nearly in front of Rai and prepared to smack her with a 'Shield-Bash' attack. This would be an attempt to not only damage her and throw her off guard, but to get a chance to stun her successfully. If the hit and stun was a success, then Rai would be immobilized, dazed, and wide opened for a hit from it.

With the Bright Burst missing its target, the Lizardman would have rolled right into a favorable position allowing for the shield to connect. Rai would stagger back at this in a daze, the world as she saw it becoming off balance. It would definitely leave a brief window open for a second attack.

The Lizardman hisses once more before doing a 'Combination' slash at Rai once more, slashing at her three times in a row in succession to damage her with high power. Each slash would tremendously damage her entire body and fatally finishing her with the third slash. Her revenge against the creature was shut down in the same way like last time. It cried out with it sword in the air and a clash on the shield to announce victory.

Now way...

The thought came as quick as her death did, turning into a silent whisp once more. This couldn't have possibly been true. Did she really die a second time? And by the same enemy at that... Just some more fuel to power her vengeful soul.

When Rai collapse to the ground from being defeated by the Lizardman, her body begin to glow brightly and gets teleported back to the Kingdom of Raizen by Asnitas. Returning her soul back safely.
