Scouting Out The Land

Off in the distance Rai could be seen approaching from the Western Gate of Raizen on all fours after leaving the Guildhall. She had found that, being her race of beastskin, she was extremely limber and flexible as to achieve such feats capable of her race. It was a bit tricky at first, but she soon got the hang of it. Now, one to complete some quests!

Well, this should be the place. Time to hunt down some Warhogs.

Yes, the very same Warhogs she faced in the tutorial with Mizuho would be what she was after and it was said that they could be found here. Of course, seeing that it was so expansive, she didn't know what she would find though she continued to search the land for one.

The Silvergrass Plateau, a vast and expansive place for many newcomers alike to begin their journeys outside the Kingdom of Raizen. It is famously known by that name due to the magical properties that the grass offers. Plus, the fact that the grassy plains are silver allows many inhabitants to roam about freely in their own environment without any risk of harms away. Treasure and adventures awaits in this wide open field for anyone who wish to seek it.

Rai travel to search for the warthogs similar to the ones in the tutorial wouldn't be too long thanks to her nimble quickness of the Neko Beastkin. Within the distance near a small row of trees would be one large warthog sniffing about around the fields to find unique mushrooms to feast on for its nutrition. Unaware about any presence.

Hey, there's one!

She thought as soon as the plump beast was spotted. All that was left to do now was to attack it, yet she did not want her eagerness to force her into direct confrontation with the beast. Instead, she would do her best to stealthily circle around her target in attempts to catch it off guard. This approach would lead her to moving up and hiding behind one of the trees nearby to further watch its habits. All that was needed would be a little patience and careful maneuvering and soon she'd have her prey.

The boar continues to snuff out any special mushrooms or small insects to consume on for its nutrition, still unaware of the whereabouts of Rai. As Rai uses stealth to sneak around for a gank against the boar by utilizing the trees there would be a couple of noises that echo from the steps. The warthog looked up curiously for a split second to make sure of any hostile threat. Not seeing any, the warthog continues to sniff out and consume its diet.

And there it was! It was her chance to strike from out of sight unbeknownst to the Warhog. After a few checks to see if it had gone back to feasting Rai would line her self up with it. She was like a mighty lion with the eager to pounce stirring inside of her. It all just felt too right while she continued towards it. Like it was second nature for her to be lurking in such a way. It would feel all the more exciting as she slowly grabbed onto her dagger and quickly leaped forward with it raised in the air. As she came down onto it the dagger would be brought down also in hopes of piercing it from behind to end its life right then and there.

The preemptive strike that Rai pulled off was a complete success. The unexpected boar began to squeal out in pain from the piercing blow from behind, causing tremendous amount of damage with the crucial pierce as its weakness. The warthog instantly flops down to the ground for a brief moment before getting back up, limping in pain from the heavy damage. Yet, still not going down without a fight. The creature snouts once before charging headstrong at Rai for a powerful tackle.

Alright, gotcha.

Rai said while pulling away her dagger and backing up from the wounded Warhog. She saw its limping as a sign of her doing a great deal of damage to it and readied herself to take it down. Her movements were still while awaiting the beast to get up and attack. Once it did with its full on charge she would slash its face in a downward motion while also taking the hit herself.

The slash connects along with the tackle which did a give and take type of action. She gets knocked down by the warthog while itself squeals from the slash given back to him, trying its best to keep on fighting. However, it drops dead from the loss of energy and health thanks to the critical slash from the dagger. The warthog fades away from the defeat and drops two orbs: One light blue and one gold. The light blue orb contains items while the gold orb contains gold and exp. Victory for Rai!

As Rai gets knocked away she slides on the glistening silver grass before flipping backup to her feet to see what she had done to the Warhog. It's squealing death filled her with a sense of accomplishment even though she felt kind of bad about it. It was true that it may have just been a program of some kind but it still resembled a living creature. Still, she would continue to prowl about toward the North of this vast area after collecting the drops. One down, two to go.

Rai's venture continues to expand upon the horizon of the Silvergrass Plateau as she seeks out another warthog for her quest. She wanders into the small woods to find her hunted prey of another piggish beast. The woods tide to her favor due to the growing tendencies of mushrooms, moss, and plants striving from the grazing sunlight. The magical essence that lingers around gave out a delicate scent of nature.

As the scenery changed from the open silver plain to the small cluster of trees Rai would spot yet another potential victim. This time she would take on a different approach and come in close next to a tree. From there she would look at the beast and rustle some leaves to draw its attention with her dagger drawn and back against the tree.

The tactic of luring a warthog by rustling the leaves off of one of the trees had barely worked in her favor, but luckily it drew the attention of one curious boar. The beast slowly walked up to the rustled location, but kept its distance just in case for any wild threat that may attempt to take its life away. It snorts and squealed once while trying to inspect it.

With the first step of her plan down she would wait, but not on the ground. She'd leap up and latch onto the tree before quickly making her way up it with the unneeded aid of her dagger. The scratching and clawing was sure to arouse further suspicion in the boar though whether it would attempt to further inspect her location was unknown. Once high enough to grab onto one of branches she would leer over at the beast and wait.

The warthog snoops around some more, wondering what is behind the rustling of the leaves. The suspicion rises greatly for the pig once more noises echoed throughout the forest from above. It looks up snorting for a bit at the woods covered sky for a brief moment and walked away, sniffing towards the mushrooms nearby to chew on some nourishing grub.

Her gaze was now locked on the boar with the urge to kill burning much greater than the last time as she stalked it from off the ground. It was then, when the boar lowered its head to feast, that she swiftly moved along the branches and jumped down while waving the dagger in a downward motion to slash across its body.

The warthog continues to feast on the mushrooms without any remorse of the lunging attack from above. It soon took notice once the space around it turns dim as it lifts it head up and notice Rai falling from above, getting struck down with a preemptive strike. The slashing impact struck the boar in several vital points along its body, granting a critical strike. It screamed out in agony and falls on it side, struggling to get back up with the massive amount of health loss. Slowly, but surely it stood as tall as it can with all of its might while trying to focus itself into striking down Rai with a tackle.

Another successful strike yet the beast gets up like the rest, prepared to fight to its last dying breath. Seeing it squirm around like this only made her jump away from it while preparing herself. Not surprisingly the Warhog would be charging towards her as predicted though she had a plan. She would circle the air with her finger as she did before and pull off her magical attack Bright Burst. The shining light that was summoned flashed in front of her towards the boar as it came in close for its signature tackle.

The warthog didn't have enough strength to dodge the incoming Bright Burst heading right towards it as it attempt a tackle towards Rai. The only result that its going to face is death itself. The boar collapse down on the ground after the hit connects and squeals out a death cry before completely dying. It begins to devitalize itself into thin air while leaving both a light blue orb and a gold orb. A chime plays for Rai to signalize that she got her second warthog kill. One more to go for her quest to be finished.

"And then there was one."

She smirked, blindly picking up the drops before continuing her search for the last Warhog back towards the Kingdom of Raisen with the utmost of haste. She didn't even notice right away the she had acquired another quest item. Rai had simply been consumed in her thoughts of winning again. Just like the good ol' days.

While Rai collects her spoils of war, out of the blue came the mother warthog of the younger one that Rai defeated from behind. The mother boar knocks her up with a tackle and is now carrying her on her back. She runs in the woods in a rampage to obliterate Rai for harming its son. She is now going on a joy ride on a warthogs back. Along the process several branches and sudden bumps come along the way that can damage her even further if Rai isn't careful to avoid collision damage from either falling off the warthog or remaining on and avoiding the branches. 

A sudden jingle began to play as the mini game occurs.

"What the...!"

And, just like that, unpredictability would have one the battle as Rai simply could not comprehend the situation she had been put in. After being scooped up by the mother boar she would pierce its back in order to get a firm grip on its fur. With that done she would pull it out and put it away with two firm hands now holding on. This still hasn't even been the worst of it yet as they approached the branches. She quickly stood up on the moving creature while keeping her balance steady, attempting to avoid the first incoming branch as it came in.

Rai evaded the first incoming batch of branches as she rides the mother warthog, trying to maintain her balance by standing steady on it as it charges forward and around to knock Rai out and damage her greatly. Another wave of branches is near ahead as the boar squeals about, picking up in speed as it bulldoze several of the branches itself with ease. For Rai, however, better hope that she can last this wave.

It's accelerating. Damn this thing...

She thought as she passed through the batch of branches with ease, but things only got worse from there. She would have never imagined something like this to take place. It was just so real. Still, she'd have to accept it and prepare herself for the next incoming wave of threatening branches.

Rai easily avoided the second wave of branches heading towards her as the mother warthog increases in speed once more, accelerating quickly in the woods before making sharp turns to knock her off of its back. A third waves of branches comes across her way, but in addition of thorny bushes within the range.

"Oh no you don't!"

Her feet slipped at the sudden sharp turn of the mother boar though she quickly clung to its fur with both hands once again. After braving two waves of branches already she wasn't about to go that easily. She'd have to be thrown even more than just branches it seemed. Though that thorny something was headed towards her as she braced herself for the third time.
